Truck Accidents

Get The Private Trucking Records

When someone is injured because of a person driving a truck, we can force the truck company to give us their private records. If necessary, we can get a Judge to issue a Court Order for them to do so.

There are many different records that can help, including:

• Truck schedules
• Driver logs
• Cell phone and texting records
• Cargo manifests
• Information on all prior accidents and convictions.

Strategy #2:
Review The Records

A vigorous review of these records can reveal valuable information, such as whether:

• The driver was rushing to meet a tight delivery deadline;
• The driver was stressed due to an unrealistic delivery schedule;
• The driver was tired from driving in excess of that which is allowed by law;
• The truck failed to have side mirrors to see the blind spots;
• The truck was overloaded, as can be shown by the cargo manifests;
• The driver was on the phone or texting at the time of the accident.

It is also helpful to obtain any log books or GPS (Global Positioning System) data, which can show if the driver was illegally on the road too long.

Strategy #3:
Incorporate Information Into The Case

By vigorously investigating the truck company’s records, we may expose hidden facts that can prove negligence by the driver or the trucking company. Such information can then be used to help our clients.
